The date is set!
I’ll be appearing at the Rehoboth Beach Library on May, 14, 2025 from 6 pm – 7 pm to present a lecture titled, “When The Cold War Became Hot.” May 14 is a significant date in Cold War history. It is the date on which the Warsaw Pact was formed in 1955.
“When The Cold War Became Hot” dives into the history that inspired my novel, Operation Nightfall: The Web of Spies. The novel takes place in 1948-1949 and is set against the backdrop of the Polish anti-communist insurgency. The British Secret Intelligence Service, keen on thwarting Soviet influence in Poland and the Baltic, mounted a covert operation with the intent to roll back communism to the borders of the USSR. What they didn’t know was they had a group of traitors in their midst. Members of the infamous Cambridge Five spy ring were passing along information about this operation along with many other secrets to the Soviets.
Seating is limited for this event and registration is required, so if you wish to attend, I encourage you to sign up early. You can register by scanning the QR code on the image above or by simply clicking on the link below.
